PARIS, FRANCE, 5 December 2023 — VITEC, a worldwide leader in IP video solutions, is delighted to announce the opening of its office in Porto, Paranhos in Portugal – a home to technological innovation. The permanent base will serve as a growing software engineering hub for VITEC, which will play a key role in the company’s long term development strategy to further enhance its IPTV, video streaming and digital signage solutions.

VITEC first established its presence in Portugal in 2019 within UPTEC, a science and technology park which provides co-working office spaces and a centre for networking tailored to technology experts. The company's rapid growth necessitated the search for a larger, permanent office.

The new office is located close to local tech universities, which will allow students to work with VITEC whilst they study, increasing their skills and providing them with the opportunity to gain valuable first-hand industry experience. It also has strong transport links, with the Porto Metro situated nearby.

The Porto team will be focused on software development, working in C/C++, JavaScript/Typescript and C#/.Net technologies. VITEC is currently hiring software engineers to be based in the Porto office.
