Aug. 15, 2024 - Lightware is announcing that the latest 3x3 receiver product variant of the Taurus TPX is now available. One of the unique features of the new product is that it allows connecting hosts on the receiver side, thus making it easier to integrate various devices to your AV setup.
This matrix switcher receiver is part of a transmitter-receiver configuration that provides the same functionality as the UCX product range in terms of signal management and connectivity. It also supports HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen1 host connectivity for room equipment. With this device there’s a possibility you can control any type of USB device, such as camera, speakerphone, touch monitor, USB-HID devices etc., but this time you can connect them directly on the receiver side. This also means that it’s possible for the devices connected on the RX side to be accessed by the BYOD devices on the TX side, and the devices connected on the TX side can be accessed by, for example, a RoomPC connected on the RX side.
By harnessing SDVoE technology, users can enjoy the same benefits of simplified video, audio, control, Ethernet connectivity over one single CATx cable in rooms where longer distances need to be bridged.
Ideal for corporate, higher education, and government and security applications, Taurus TPX enables users to utilize third-party video conferencing applications within a collaboration space, including Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. It creates a simplified and intuitive solution for users to switch between multiple third-party applications depending upon their meeting needs.
In contrast to the HDMI-UCX-TPX-RX107, which has a TPX input and an HDMI output, this model has a TPX and two HDMI inputs, and three HDMI output ports to satisfy all you AV needs.
