The CC-101-PRO captures closed captioning text (CC1 through CC4), information and then overlay it on video output. Unit is equipped with serial port, through which unit can display user defined text anywhere on screen as well as optionally stream out closed caption text from serial port. Unit also has EEPROM (internal non-volatile flash memory) in which user can store up to 10 screens of data and automatically display them either when unit is turned on, or activate playback via front panel. Free Windows software is available that allows user to define and store text in unit’s memory for playback. Unit has both S-Video and composite video inputs and outputs. Unit also has progressive outputs of either component video or VGA.
