July 22, 2024 - In the ever-changing world of AV technology, projection might seem a bit boring. Even after all these years, it’s still just projecting light onto a surface, right? Actually, nothing could be further from the truth. Changing projector technology and projection applications mean projection screen technology has to change as well. That’s one of the reasons Draper created TecVision Performance Screen Technology. Creating and manufacturing TecVision formulations in house allows us to evolve to meet the changing needs of AV users.

The evolution is continuing with a new refresh of TecVision that includes two completely new formulations.

The first addition is a new grey viewing surface. TecVision XH1200X Grey is a 1.2 gain premium matt grey surface formulated for optimal brightness uniformity, high contrast, and ultra-wide viewing angles in moderate ambient light. The slight gain boost also helps if the projector is underpowered for the application.

We’ve also added a new ambient light rejecting formulation. CS1100X ALR performs very well in spaces where there is high ambient light and narrow viewing angles, and is engineered for very high contrast, precise resolution, and color accuracy.

TecVision Performance White, Premium Grey, and ALR surfaces are formulated and manufactured by Draper for specific projection needs, including ambient light, wide viewing angles, underpowered projectors, and more. Every TecVision formulation has been ISF certified for color accuracy – the only complete projection surface line in the industry that can make this claim.

Every TecVision formulation is also available as an acoustically transparent Nano Perforated surface. For more information, check out our newly updated TecVision web page!
