Doremi StreamIt is a broadcast MPEG2 video streamer companion device for Doremi digital cinema servers. The StreamIt easily integrates with any Doremi cinema server to enable the streaming of alternative programming via satellite to multiple screens live, in 2D and 3D. Up to four screens can be streamed simultaneously, without unplugging or rewiring existing hardware. The unit receives live broadcasts over the Ethernet, extracts the video and the audio, decompresses the audio, and streams the video to multiple Doremi cinema servers in multiplex. StreamIt lets exhibitors stream the event to up to four screens simultaneously which allows for increased scheduling flexibility when offering live broadcasts. Live 3D broadcasting of sporting events, operas, concerts, international debates and other non-theatrical content can fill cinema seats, generating additional revenue streams outside of the studio release schedule.
