A simple & safe solution to get your story on-air fast News Director's Direct-To-Air is a control solution that gives News Directors the power to safely take control of the master control switcher, to put the News Studio on air to cover a late breaking story. An easy to use 8 button panel in the News Director's office connects to DNF's GTP-32 GPI Tally Processor (the brains of the operation) in the machine room over an ethernet link. The GTP connects to the master control switcher over GPI, serial, or Ethernet to control source selection, keyer on/off, and audio over on/off. Configure the GTP-32 with rules that determine the conditions under which a break into normal programming may occur. Rules may include equipment GPI status, router status, master control switcher status, and production switcher status as conditional inputs. The GTP-32 provides tallies indicating that a break-in is in progress as well as other user configurable tallies. The News Director's button panel can be configured with a switch interlock to prevent accidental button pushes. Each button has an LCD face providing both text and color indicators. Configure text messages and indicator colors to indicate that a break-in is in progress. Configure different text messages and indicator colors to indicate "not in break-in". Flash button indicators or turn them on solid. News Director's Direct-To-Air is built on field proven, reliable components from DNF Controls - USP-8 Universal Switch Panel, GTP-32 GPI Tally Processor. Comprehensive logging and diagnostics makes system installation and maintenance a breeze.
