The MMX-6-USB 6-channel stereo microphone mixer is designed to connect up to six dynamic or condenser microphones to a USB 2.0 audio system. A line-level output is also available to allow the mixer to be used as a microphone preamp for audio devices without microphone-level inputs. Its compact form factor facilitates flexible installation, with surface, wall, and DIN rail mounting options all supported via included hardware. Rack mounting is also supported via an optional mounting kit (sold separately).
Microphone Mixing
To support compatibility with condenser microphones, the MMX-6-USB features 48V phantom power on each of its individually selectable six microphone inputs. Each input and output has a 90 dB level adjustment range. Individual inputs may be assigned to one or both channels of the mixer's stereo output. The built-in low-cut filter can be enabled at the output to reduce low frequency noise below 100 Hz.
USB and Analog Outputs
The MMX-6-USB features both stereo USB 2.0 and analog line-level outputs to support compatibility with a broad range of audio devices. The USB 2.0 output allows for direct connection to a Macintosh® or Windows® PC for audio input to software applications. The balanced analog output provides a line-level signal which can be connected to a line-level input of most conventional audio devices. Both the USB and analog outputs pass the same audio content and can be used simultaneously.
Integrator Friendly Enclosure
The MMX-6-USB features the Crestron Integrator Friendly Enclosure (IFE) that enables a variety of installation options. Multiple IFE compliant devices can be stacked together. Surface, wall, and DIN rail mounting are all supported using the included hardware. The RMK-IFE-1U mounting kit is also available to mount multiple IFE devices in a 1RU rack space (sold separately). All controls on the unit are screwdriver adjustable to prevent accidental changes to the settings after initial configuration.
