Horizon™ In-Wall Keypad with infiNET EX® Wireless Communication, 120 VAC, Almond

The HZ-KPEX is a Horizon™ in-wall keypad that features field-replaceable and engravable LED backlit buttons. Its design matches the entire line of Horizon dimmers, switches, and keypads, making it a great addition to new or retrofit installations.

NOTE: Faceplates are not included. Refer to the HZ-FP-G series faceplates for more information.

Multiway Dimming and Switching
Similar to traditional three- or four-way circuits, the HZ-KPEX lets you control the lights from multiple locations using the traveler wire. Up to four devices can be connected to a single dimmer or switch. The HZ-KPEX provides local LED feedback for the status of the load connected to the master load controller along with backlit, engravable button caps to mimic the familiar feel of other Horizon products. The multiway controller provides instant usability upon installation without the need for programming.

Multigang Expansion
Up to four devices may be installed side-by-side in a multigang electrical box with a compatible Horizon faceplate (HZ-FP-G series). All buttons in a multigang arrangement align to form one continuous control surface.

infiNET EX Communications
infiNET EX wireless technology provides two-way RF communications throughout a residential or commercial structure without the need for physical control wiring. Each infiNET EX device acts as an expander by sending command signals to other infiNET EX devices in range (approximately 150 ft (46 m) indoors) to ensure reliability and stability.

The HZ-KPEX communicates with a control system via a CEN-GWEXER or newer infiNET EX Wireless Gateway. Up to 100 infiNET EX devices may coexist on a wireless network.

Field-Replaceable Button Caps
The preinstalled five button caps on the HZ-KPEX are field replaceable, allowing for various engravable button configurations.

Multicolor Backlit Button Engraving
Horizon keypad buttons are laser engravable to identify each button's function. RGB LED backlights illuminate the engraved labels and can be adjusted for custom color backlighting.
