Run data and handshake signals over CATx cable and break the RS-232 distance limitation.
Plug-and-play. The driver is a pure hardware solution providing real-time data transfer with no software conflicts.
Use long-distance CATx links to communicate with serial devices.
Control presentations remotely.
Transfer data between computers.
Ideal for a wide variety of applications.
Easy installation. The driver provides full-duplex transmission and hardware handshake signals. There's no need for setup or configuration.
This CATx Line Driver enables you to place a receiving device up to 4000 feet away from the sending device. The local unit has a DB9 female connector and is configured as a DCE device; the remote unit has a DB9 male connector and is configured as a DTE device. This allows the local/remote pair to function as a long extension cable between two RS-232 devices. There are no user-configurable settings. These units pass TXD, RXD, RTS, and CTS signals to allow application to use hardware handshake signals if necessary.
Optically isolated.
Supports distances up to 4000 feet.
Has 1000-VDC isolation between CATx and RS-232 interfaces.
