The Adamson B118 is a front-loaded bass enclosure easily transported sub-bass loudspeaker featuring a Kevlar 18-inch low frequency driver mounted in a critically damped, vented enclosure. The AW18 driver employed in the B118 is the world's first woven Kevlar diaphragm 18-inch driver. With its extremely high stiffness to mass ratio, Kevlar virtually eliminates the effects of cone fatigue while providing enhanced long term reliability. Cabinet construction of the B118 is uncompromised throughout, utilizing well-reinforced 5/8-inch Baltic birch, thus remaining free of vibration at extreme sound pressure levels.
