Datapath and specialist Italian distribution AGMultivision are proud to announce the completion of an Aetria control room project at one of the world’s largest providers of IT infrastructure and Cyber Security.
Kyndryl, an American company with an annual turnover of over $17B, has established a Cyber Operations Center in Rome with 170 specialists that provides support and protection for the entire lifecycle of cyber threats using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and integrated automation systems.
Installed in the Tecnopolo Tiburtino in the Italian Capital, in a Tier IV Data Center, the Cyber Operations Center offers combined and extensive management of security and resilience.
With a video wall comprising of 16 x 55-inch Philips displays in a 2 x 8 configuration, plus 15 terminals to share video content, AGMultivision utilized Datapath’s Aetria solution to provide maximum flexibility and control for operators to monitor, share and distribute content.
The solution, comprising of hardware and software components, allows users to share information to a larger video wall, while also having their own bespoke content feeds displayed on their own desktop. Guido Villa, President and CEO of AGMultivision, spoke of the benefits in using Aetria and what is brings to system users at the Cyber Operations Center: “We have worked closely with Datapath for a number of years and their experience and expertise in multi-source video processing is unrivalled. With their Aetria solution, we can now deliver a new level in content management for our clients. For Kyndyl, this means ‘anything, anywhere’ and complete content control for their new Cyber Operation Center and AGMultivision is delighted to have supported them on this fantastic project.”
The most important contents intended for display on the video wall come from two workstations and operator terminals. The content mainly refers to checks on the vulnerability of IT systems and management in case of attacks through Malware.
For optimum security, all Datapath’s Aetria uses industry-standard AES-128 bit encryption, guaranteeing confidentiality across the network. The Aetria Control Centre user interface is secured with the latest TLS web encryption technology which, combined with Datapath’s ‘User Rights Management’ function, provides complete peace of mind that only authorised users can access and control content.
Carmen Jerez, Regional Account Manager for Datapath, added: “With a vast amount of video data to monitor and share, it was essential that Kyndryl had a secure control room that was capable of managing these enormous volumes, plus have the ability to share specific content where needed. Aetria is designed to excel in this environment and we are delighted to have supported AG Multivision in their success with this project.”
