Colorado System Integrator Logic Integration chose Datapath to bring a new video dimension to the Sportsbook Bar & Grill in Denver, integrating a VSN1172 into an established system to bring reliability and a ‘wow’ factor to the already impressive venue.
The focus for the Colorado venue was to provide the very best experience where customers can watch football, soccer, basketball, rugby, UFC, baseball, or whichever sport they love, while enjoying great food and drinks with friends and family.
Logic Integration worked closely with the venue owners to understand their specific goals, including what they liked and didn’t like about previous systems they had utilized, then designed a solution that would provide both easier AV control and optimum viewability from anywhere in the space.
The owners opted for a videowall after a visit to Planar’s Denver Showroom. “The visit helped us confirm what we wanted,” said Sportsbook Bar & Grill co-owner Judson Dymond. “We were able to see LED videowalls in action and really understand the difference between various pixel pitches.”
The decision was made for a 1.5mm-pixel pitch videowall which allows for clear up-close viewing of the 24-foot-wide display. AM and PM presets were incorporated for simple execution so that the technology was not the primary focus of Sportsbook employees as they prepared for the customers to arrive each day.
Managing this multitude of pixels, Logic Integration recommended Datapath’s video processing expertise. Using a high-end Datapath VSN1172 controller, coupled with an 1100x expansion chassis, display content can be managed with ease and with confidence using Datapath’s award-winning WallControl 10 software, along with the power to provide crystal clear 4K detail of any sporting action.
Logic Integrations also utilized a Binary Media Over IP system to distribute content to the displays throughout the space and a mix full-range pendant and surface mounted speakers in the main dining area as well as the outdoor, covered patio to ensure that the audio is clear throughout.
The Sportsbook Bar and Grill owners were extremely happy with the installation and the interface. Multiple audio and video zones are easy to use with a Custom Crestron control system with video sources easily managed.
