THE CHALLENGE:

For years, The Arc had a dated technology system that was difficult to operate and not conducive to an efficient training room, especially for individuals with learning challenges. Virtual teaching was not possible, and The Arc was hoping for a solution to elevate the experience for those who went through their program.

THE SOLUTION:

To assist their efforts, Crestron and USIS Audiovisual Systems donated various resources to The Arc to equip their training and conference rooms with an improved technology experience. The installation of Crestron AirMedia® wireless presentation systems and Crestron control systems allows The Arc to provide training that will help them reach new individuals who were previously unable to participate in programs and improve the skills of other workers who are currently in the field.

THE TECHNOLOGY:

The Arc has two divisible training rooms, including a Crestron DigitalMedia™ Presentation System and speakers. The Crestron DigitalMedia Presentation System is utilized to distribute audio and video to the space through speakers and projectors for guest presenters, training sessions, and movie viewings. This solution supports The Arc’s various events, such as after-school programs, summer camps, and adult day programs.

A Crestron control system powers the technology integrated into training rooms. Each room has a ceiling-mounted projector and a wall-mounted projection screen. A Crestron Media Presentation Controller has custom programmable buttons that easily control the various technologies in the room and manage functions, such as projector power, volume, source selection, and more. Equipped with Crestron AirMedia technology, the training rooms now have access to content sharing creating a more seamless experience for trainees. Serving over 1,400 individuals with developmental disabilities, The Arc needed a simple solution to make learning accessible to a larger group. Crestron AirMedia wireless systems make it easy for anyone in the facility to connect instantly and present confidently from any device.

RESULTS:

Crestron and USIS have given The Arc state-of-the-art training rooms that can be used for all types of career and skill development. The Crestron technology is flexible and adaptable to the needs of the participants and provides a multi-media approach to learning that was previously unavailable to those training at The Arc.
